19 days left, and counting

Since my last update, I had my napa birdal shower. It was really nice to see all the aunts and family in that area! I haven't been email any pictures of that yet, so when I get them I will post them.

Russell and I finished the favors this week. We got the marriage lisence last thursday. It was kind of exciting. expensive, but exciting. It costs 64.00 for a marriage lisence in our county. We don't even get to keep that paper either, after the wedding the pastor will turn it in and we will have to pay 14.00 more dollars to get a certified copy if we want one, which i do.

Russell's mom got a large frame and a large matt with a 8x10 picture in it. The large matting area around the photo is for guests to sign on the wedding day for a sort of guest book kind of thing, but we will also have a guest book. The wedding venue owner told us about this and said that she's been seeing that alot lately. I really like the idea, so we're doing it. Today we chose what photo is going to go in the frame.

We have to meet the minister one more time, in 2 thursdays from now, to go over the entire ceremony. and on the 3rd of march we meet with the venue owner, Sandee to go over everything! She told us if we go over everything before the rehersal will go more smoothly. Also on that day we will make the final payment.

Lately we've been buying some nice clothes for the dinners on our honeymoon cruise to Hawaii. Soon the packing will begin. I already have a mental checklist of things not to forget and what to bring.

Since Russell is still laid off, we can't buy a house like planned, or even rent any apartment/house because he isn't technically employed. Since he is on unemployment until his company gives him a call, we could technically try to move into one of the welfare apartments, but thats not a really good neighborhood. So we have to live with one of our parents for a few months. This will help us save some money for our own place. We really want to buy a house, so hopefully we will have better luck this year with that. Now we just have to choose which parent to live with....that's the hard part. Neither of us can decide and its getting close. Maybe we should just toss a coin! It's not an ideal sittuation, it's actually the sittuation we were trying to avoid--living with our parents after we get married, but that's life. Hopefully it will only be for a few months and then we'll really be on our own.

I had a makeup lady, not sure if I still do. It was Russell's mom's hair lady. She does make-up too. She said its better to do the make-up before the hair, which I don't understand why. To me it seems it should be the other way around because I would think the makeup would need to be touched up before the wedding if applied to early. Anyways, she wanted to do the make up before our hair and I was planning and on doing it after, right before going to the venue to get dressed and ect. I have my hair lady coming to my house in the morning at either 8 or 9am I believe, so that wouldn't work. and she has another appointment at 10am to color someone's hair. I was going to go over to the venue at 12 noon to finish getting ready. The wedding doesn't start until 2, I guess I don't really need to be there that early, but I think it might take a while, plus that's when the florist told me she was going to be there. So, Im most likely going to be looking for a new make-up artist and I have no idea where to look. I could go into salons and see if anyone does make-up, or try google to see if that helps me. I have no idea. I just hope it works out and I get someone to do my make up!

Wish me luck!

I will post another update soon! =) hopefully with some shower pictures
